This review shared by Ann. We ate at Duke’s Barefoot Bar. There is also the option to dine in the more formal dining area. After lunch, I talked to Mary, the manager. She told me they are experienced at handling food allergies and cross- contamination. She brought out a binder from the kitchen which lists the foods that are free from the 8 major allergens. As an example,she used my son’s allergies to milk, egg and nuts. She cross referenced the milk free, nut free, egg free lists to determine what he might be able to order. She explained that he would not be able to have the fries since the fryer is cross- contaminated from the Macadamia nut wantons. For a starch the chef would make him plain rice. Mary also gave me the e-mail address to the executive chef in case I had any additional food allergy questions. Duke’s is a member of TS Restaurants. |
