We made a reservation for the
Saturday night of Easter weekend for
a party of twelve. The gentleman
taking the reservation told me that
food allergies were not a problem, and
boy he was right!

When Dana, the waiter, arrived to take
our drink order, I mentioned the food
allergies, so he immediately made
note of it on his order pad. When
Dana later returned to take our food
order, I suggested he save our son
for last, thinking all the details would
be fresh in his mind when he went to
the kitchen. He happily took my
advice and explained to me how the
manager was going to be in charge of
the order once he wrote it down and
brought it to the kitchen.

My son had a cup of chile for his
appetizer. He's had it several times in
the past at the two locations in
Boston, so he knows he likes it. When
my son ordered the marinated steak
tips with a vegetable for his main meal
Dana admitted he didn't know all of the
details of the marinade and scurried
to the kitchen to check with the chef.
He returned with a smile to announce
it was safe for my son.

The steak tips arrived several minutes
later than the rest of the orders, but it
was worth it. The tips were delicious
and safe. It felt great knowing that
Joe's could safely serve my son on a
busy Saturday night within a large
party of family and friends.
